I'm going to charitably assume that I don't need to actually black out my site and that all of my readers are well aware of the SOPA/PIPA bills going through congress at the moment..

I'm not one for running. Especially on a treadmill. History has shown that, if given a choice between a treadmill and getting fat and depressed, I will choose to get fat. And I do like that my present state of fitness means that I can casually run a mile and not regret doing it, but I haven't traditionally sought it out.

We have a mailing list for my neighborhood. And we have a problem with cars in my neighborhood. See, we've got a grade school near the park.. and the park has a crossing guard. And so a few months ago the crossing guard was hit and injured by a car while trying to ensure that things were safe. And then a month or two later, a six year old got buzzed by a speeding car. Yesterday morning, a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver.

So, at the start of 2012, I find myself with a rather nice musical setup that's not getting nearly enough use.

I had some money to spend really working on my musical hardware over 2011, but I haven't really had the motivation, time, etc to actually use it...

I deliberately avoided posting this for a while because you need to understand the context behind it. But I always like to tell all of the stories that I've done...
